What's required to become a TeamMate?

HandyMate is not an employer, our company simply connects independent workers with customers. To sign up as a TeamMate, you must: 

  • Be at least 19 years of age
  • Be legally allowed to work in Canada
  • Provide a government issued piece of ID
  • Have a Canadian bank account with a financial institution
    (must be able to accept direct deposit payments)
  • Own a smartphone. The "TeamMate" app is needed to book and manage jobs, and is compatible with iOS or Android devices
